Hon. Geoffrey Kini And Hon Gyapong Kudjo Storm Odomi This Weekend For The Abotodee Yam Festival Celebration
The Member of Parliament for Nkwanta South and the hardworking Regional Chairman of NDC for Oti accepted the invitation of the Djadjane of Challa, Nana Kennewu Addo Cheddere II, and the Kusutu Challa to participate in this year’s ABOTODEE Yam Festival.
The Oti Regional Chairman touched down at Nkwanta at 1 pm on Saturday, September 17, 2022, where he was joined by Party executives, the Member of Parliament, and other stakeholders moved to the durbar ground at the Odomi school compound.
The Branch executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Odomi gave Hon. Geoffrey Kini and Hon. Gyapong Kudjo was a hero’s welcome as they joined the chiefs and people of Odomi Challa and Kusuntu Challa for the Yam festival celebration.
The Paramount Chief of Challa traditional council Nana Kennewu Addo Cheddere II, took the opportunity to express his profound happiness and joy to welcome all Son, daughters, friends, admirers, and well-wishers who made the sacrifice to come to Challa -Odomi, the traditional capital of the Royal people of Challa.
The chief again thanked his brothers and sisters of the Kusuntu Community who have traveled long distances from Accra, Kumasi, and Republic Togo.
Nkwanta South NDC and Oti at large recognize the importance of our cultural festivals in the country's socio-economic development. We also take this opportunity to congratulate the chiefs and people of Odomi and wish them a blissful celebration.
The Member of Parliament and the Oti Regional Chairman supported the programs with 150 bags of cement and 1,000 Ghana cedis in aid to construct a community center at Odomi.
